Group classes run in approx 6 week blocks (following along school half terms), this allows the classes to progress each week and promotes regular attendance (whish is how you'll notice results!). Please note the price is discounted for a course of classes (i.e NO REFUNDS for missed classes). With prior arrangement it is sometimes possible to 'occasionally' swap to another class on the timetable (space permitting... and only during the same six week block), although this cannot be guaranteed. Classes cannot be rolled over onto the following 6 week block.

All Mats & equipment are provided. We will be using bands, balls, foam rollers and other props to improve posture, flexibility, strength & muscle tone.

Group Mat Classes
Group mat pilates classes are suitable for people are are fit and injury free. If you are recovering from an injury, are a complete beginner or have not exercised for a long time it is always best to start with 1:1 sessions. Group class sizes are limited to 8 at Malpas Village Hall, 12 at Jason Thomas Dance Studio and 14 at Truro High School for Girls.

INJURIES people recuperating from injuries, back problems or people who are new to exercise should always speak to their GP or Physiotherapist before starting Pilates. A 1:1 session would be recommended before joining a group class (please email to disscuss your situation).

BEGINNERS if possible should attend a beginners level class, workshop or start with an initial 1:1 session. This will teach you the fundamentals (posture/alignment basics, lateral breath, abdominal engagement, pelvic alignment, how to articulate through spine etc..).

GENERAL LEVEL for those who are familiar with the basics. Options will be given to accommodate different abilities.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL for those who have been doing Pilates a while and would like a more challenging class. You should be able/happy to do a roll up, roll over (or know the modification), open leg rocker, side plank, teaser prep etc... If in doubt please ask!
